I've been asked what makes Dolly Darko work, so here's the answer - she's flesh and blood like you and I....

This pair went on the rampage in the studio so I had to put an end to their antics with my trusty claw hammer - enjoy!....

Head variants like this are available for Dolly, due to the way they are made each is unique but as equally disturbing. If you don't like head trauma I can do severe burns or decay - the choice is yours!

Interesting. but a little over the top for me. I prefer the original dolls at your web site. Old, but not flesh and blood.

Dan, if you could make a way to switch heads I would buy both!

The heads are interchangable, as well as arms and torso so those who have a copy of Dolly Darko can swap heads as much as they like.

Unless you mean actually swap heads during a performance for example, the doll starts off normal but them becomes horribly mutilated at the end? Not possible at the moment but as always, I can make it happen....

A head shell would be perfect ...Ill never be able to justify buying one Dan but you do produce "the dogs" when it comes to Bizzare Magic meets art .Truly gorgeous stuff .

Dan, PM me on any ideas that you may have on how to achieve this switch!

For those who shy away from gore I can create these heads without blood etc, so they are just cracked and chipped dolls (like you would find in the woods inside a hollow tree).... (too much Company of Wolves as a child!)

How about a mask based on the origial face which is easily removable to reveal the slightly disturbed ones shown here. A bit like the original Phantom of the Opera film. (Not that musical rubbish!)

Great idea jambo666, this is the easiest approach by far - the mask can be removed inside the spirit cabinet out of view and when she's finally revealed to the audience the face could be burnt, bloody etc (que theatrical smoke eminating from behind the red curtain...)

What about a mask like The Orphanage movie? I like it.

A little sack cloth mask, I like it! Such a tragic film - very haunting. I think accessories for Dolly Darko could give Barbie a run for her money!

If youre going to go for it why not construct a mask with a few strategic placed holes and drop a few maggots behind it .Those little bug*ers squeeze through any available orifices .....
