Anyone know where I can purchase #2, phillips oval head, 1/4" chrome plated screws.

I will take if I have to phillips round head chrome plated screws.

I use to get them at a hardware store but they went out of business and places like Ace do not carry the small packaged screws.

OSH Hardware & Orchard Supply also has a good selection of small screws if you just need a few packs.

I buy them in lots of 10,000. 200 pieces in the hardware store cost the same as 10,000 so I have a dozen sizes, same with rivets. I guess I have over a hundred pounds of small fasteners.

Question? who invented the first screws and what were they used for? I already know.

Theres another outfit on the net, Small Parts, who sell all kinds of small parts in lots of 1,2 and 10. They're not cheap but sometimes you only need a couple and don't want to leave the comfort of the shop.

Or maybe Jay will sell you a few!! Smile

My local OSH has been reducing their selection left and right. It's really annoying- last time I went there I couldn't find half of what was on my list. Ace, fortunately, had the missing half, but they seem to be cutting back as well. I just hope they keep the good PVC connectors in stock (the 4-way angles, etc.)

Oh come on now, you're asking us to have any working knowledge of the history of the world's oldest profession? How could we possibly know that?

Thanks guys, I am using them on the finishing surface of my Taylor Su-Table. It has 1/2" right angle aluminum on all the edges to protect them from bumping and damaging the vynul and wood.

I remade the table but put this finishing touch off as I use to get small packets from Value Hardware but them closed the local stores and went back to only one that is out of town.

I am looking for 60 or more screws, want them to had to the trim with the chrome.

Just as an option for a nice professional finished look are flat head screws used with finishing washers. I'm not sure the smallest available, but I'd suspect #4 or #6 at Lowes or HD. I use them on lots of things.

...for those us us too meek to hear such language, perhaps the title of this thread should be gently modified...

After looking at the recommendations thus far, that is not what I am looking for, I know they exist. Again I am looking for Wood Screws, 1/4" and 3/8" long, perfer phillips round or oval head, but will take standard slit.

The #2 size I have are chrome plated. I need a 70 or more so I can buy a box.

I really need some help here guys.
