Mike,

. . . and the purpose of posting the 2001 Genii magazine article is?

The information contained in the article is now, in many respects "old hat" since the publication in 2008 of Ben Robinson's more thoroughly researched and documented "John Mulholland's Secret Life: The MagiCIAn" (available as a downloadable e-book from http://www.Lybrary.com) and, most recently, the discovery and publication (in facsimile form) of the sole known surviving copy of the two manuals written by Mulholland for Project MKUltra that escaped destruction in 1973 as ordered by then CIA Director Richard Helms, as "The Official C.I.A. Manual of Trickery and Deception" by H. keith Melton and Robert Wallace (William Morrow, An Imprint of Harper Collins, 2009) and available through major bookstores everywhere.

Just curious.

Are you guys serious?
I thought it was interesting & it was appropriate for this section.

Maybe not everyone knows about it.

This is why I don't like to post that often anymore.

Didn't say that it isn't interesting or is inappropriate for the forum, just that since the article is 8 years old and the subsequent material about Mulholland's work for the CIA has been discussed at some length in the Café, it is "yesterday's news."

We all know that every other post besides mine is so fresh & relevant.

There is a ton of stuff on here that is "yesterday's news",I guess your going to be busy for a while setting them all straight.

Thank you Dick Smile

Michael,

I think you may be missing the point which is that much more recent and detailed information on the subject has been published since the Genii article. That's all.

Actually,I did not miss the point at all.

Everyone does not know what everyone else knows, that's what makes this place tick.

"old hat" "yesterdays news", yes YOUR point is crystal clear.

I was merely sharing.

Untwist your knickers, Michael. Your post is not only yesterday's news, the Frank Olson Project re: John Mulholland was posted about here in 2004.

If you had used the search function, with the term Mulholland as the search term, and searched in this section of the Café, you would have found this thread:

Bill, did you read the Spiegel article yet? Anything new in there?

That article is from less than two weeks ago.

Never mind, Bill. I just read the article myself, and it's just more or less a book review of the German-language edition of the above mentioned book by Melton and Wallace. So no, nothing new there, either. Cool story, though.

I know I'm very late to this party, but it's a very interesting story and one that deserves more attention given the recent stories about the CIA and some world famous psychologists of the American Psychological Association assisting the Agency. I think there are parallels to be made. You may enjoy reading my blog post here:

Does anyone know whether John Mulholland and William Mulholland (after whom the famous Mulholland Drive is said to have been named) were relatives?
