Doc,

If you have the book now (or are about to), you'll have the basic idea. From the position the load is held after the steal, the load is released from the bag out the bottom. My release method is probably the simplest. Some ideas I've seen involve wire hooks and such. My flap closure is almost like the flap on an envelope, only upside down. It is held shut with velcro.

If you need any more info, I'll be happy to provide it.

Haven't looked at the post I started in awhile - Pekin Duck has now gotten to big for my duck bucket but it works really well for the Call Ducks.

Looking forward to incorporating them into the Show - Have also bought a real nice Duck Pan from a member on the Café so waiting for that to arrive as well.

I believe for large stage shows the major production will still be the fire cage and at least 2 if not all 3 ducks.

Thanks for all the info shared here

Mike
The magic is not in our sleights and illusions, but instead in our ability to bring love and joy.

There are a number of stage effects that incorporate more than a single duck, too. If the problem becomes such that a device for a single duck cannot hold a particular duck, consider a device that holds multiple ducks and just regulate the number used. (...as long as you have more than one duck available.)
