Peter, the actual quote from The Treasure of Sierra Madre is as follows:

"Badges? We ain't got no badges! We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!"

The "Badges? We don't need no steenkin' badges!" quote you give is like Casablanca's "Play it Again, Sam"; nobody said it, but it's the way people remember it. Actually, "We don't need no steenkin' badges!" was used in a film: Blazing Saddles.

Here's a quote of my own that I used as the motto for a book I published:

"Those who remember the mistakes of history are condemned to watch others repeat them."

Here's one to remember when dealing with a difficult spectator:

"Never put down to maliciousness that which can be much more easliy explained as ignorance"

Here's one for work. I know it as "Dinersteins' 32nd Law":

The more time you spend reporting on what you're doing, the less time you have to do anything. Equilibrium is reached when you spend all of your time doing nothing but reporting on the nothing that you're doing.
