Hi All

I should be in receipt of another Eureka Base tomorrow. I would like to build my own table top to it though, just something thin that can be used to place props on.

I've always been intrigued by the use of radio controlled gadgets and have read a few posts on here about the use of the wireless doorbells. I have one that was bought as a wedding present but we never used and would like to build a neat little effect into my table top.

So I'm throwing the gates open for a few ideas!

Any thoughts??

I think you first need to define what the prupose of the effect you are after. Try todefine what it is you want to have the audience see or feel. Once we define that,we can generate ideas to help get there.

I like the type of effect where something falls off the table, front panel falls off etc. But I don't want to infringe on an effect that's already out there. It would be for use in my kids show. The table would be used throughout as a regular table. As with Jumbo Sidekick, it would be great to have the child aim the wand at something else on the table to make the magic happen, but then something goes wrong.

Hey Mark,
Here is a video clip of a table I make that uses remote control.

I wouldn't rely on door bell remotes. there are many types that do a better job and have many more options. The table I am building has a 8 function remote so I have lots of opportunities for different effects
