I've had a Sword Suspension for a little over a year now which has received no use. It's a very nice custom model with some unique features that I would like to put into my summer shows to at least get video footage of it.

The reason I haven't used it is because I've been trying to find a good costume to hide that certain something.

So I was hoping someone on the board might have some experience with this & point me in the right direction.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What is the teme of your act. the bit, and motivation for the use of the effect. That, and your assistant's strengths in looks, movement (or lack thereof when needed) and whether you need to use her body OR THE CLOTHES to lift her on and off can all be considerations.

As far as the something -- a huge band-aid Smile might work! GC

Costume?

I have seen this performed with the assistant in a bikini....

He looked rather good in it, and the "thing" was not visible.

As chmara pointed out, it depends on your theme too.

In the next week I will probably buy one of two Sword Suspensions available to me. I have the same question you do. I am thinking to temporarily have her wear a short robe over her regular costume...

But I am going to get a dress custom made to accomodate and hide it by a costumer I know.

Im sure he looked great, but just what 'thing' were you referring to? I am going to assume you meant the gaff, and not the other 'thing'!
The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are

We use a dress with a shawl. It can be easily moved to accomodate the hook up. It also works well with the broom suspension.
