I currently have VHS volumes 1-4 of Harry Lorayne's Best Teacher Ever series and I'm trying to get DVD replacements as I see good deals come around. Thing is I'm a bit confused. I'm trying to find a reference for the set and L&L shows that there are only four DVD volumes yet other places have DVD volumes going up to #10 (Hocus Pocus currently has #8-10 on sale $35).

What it looks like is that the DVDs were re-released to combine the different volumes and what L&L is showing is the latest and that it would be a no-brainer to then try and purchase the combined volumes instead. Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks!

Harry's an icon, and over the years I've quietly worked through many card effects in the bound volumes of Apocalypse. I'm no pro magician, but I very much like Harry's iconoclastic approach and writing style. He's one of a kind, and I've probably learned more about magic and illusion and misdirection from Harry's books than from any other source.

Thanks, Harry!
SO THERE, MR. TED AND MR. BANDE.

You're correct, RobertP. The four "Best Ever" DVDs contain ALL the stuff that was on the original ten video cassettes, PLUS (like the one-hour memory piece in front of a regular audience). If you go to my magic website, the third one listed under this post, and click on "Magic DVDs" you'll get all the information. Then,if you have any questions, you can email me at my personal email address, also listed below this post, with the word "earthlink" in it. Best - HARRY L.

Thank you Mr. Lorayne! You just answered all of the questions I had! Wow. What a wealth of magic, in just FOUR DVD's. I've not even SEEN them yet, and I'm sold. Nice to know you can be emailed, too! Thank you, sir!

Best,

Doug

I just got "Best Ever Collection" #1. I am loving it! I love his teaching style. Some may say he goes a bit fast, but I love it. Many teachers go too slow. There is a reason why there is a rewind button on the DVD. I like that he gets you through the instructions in short order. If one part of the explanation is easy to me, I can watch it once. If another part is more difficult, I can watch it a few times.

Furthermore, I think that what is really special about his magic is how someone can hand you a deck, you can shuffle shuffle shuffle, and then go into an amazing routine. It seems that everything is a gimmick now. I'm not complaining, I really love some of the gimmicks, but they are much less impromptu. Harry's magic looks like he stuck his hands in some magic potion and he can lay them on anything and make magic happen.

Really enjoying it!

Thank you Mr Lorayne! My respect and admiration go out to you.
