* * Johnathon Style Comedy Horror Magic * *

I recently picked up a kitchenware device called the Bagel Biter and just had to make magic with it. See http://www.larien.com/biter.html
I got mine for $7 in a Charity Shop,but I believe it retails for about $27.

Basically the Bagel Biter cuts a bagel cleanly in half and has a very sharp blade encased in a clear Plexiglass shield to protect the user. If your audience is composed of housewives or homemakers they will definitely recognize the product.

The Bagel Biter has rivets in the casing using superhard steel alloy to prevent nuts like me from making it dangerous but if you want to know how I gaffed it then please email me. The gaffe does make the original Bagel Biter unsafe for handling by spectators, children and drunks so I won't post details here for fear of litigation, but I assure you, the effect is hilarious black comedy in the style of Johnathon.

It's a horror comedy routine with no real magic here except how well you can misdirect and play-act.

For my seven bucks it's the best gadget I have seen around and a lot of folks have them as unused gifts in the kitchen cabinet so ask around your families - you might get one for free.
