Ran across this anti-theft tag gag thing. Could be funny.

I bought about 100 of them this time of year in 07. They were still active...and I have to be careful not to have them on when I do go into stores.

Some store managers sense of humor is greater than others.

My bargain price was very low. Do a Café search for ideas that have been discussed...

I got a picture of this in a joke email.

But it's g GREAT sight gag.

(Old Style) Jiffy Pop - Pop Corn the kind you cook on stove top.

Tell your adult audience that you have a "Red Neck Fire Alarm"

Pull out the above and you will get a laugh or a grown for your
audience.

Not sure if they still have these in the store?

I have seen this gag in action (the tag gag not the jiffy pop). You just wear it and eventually the audience will notice it. Then you nail them with an appropriate punch line. It kills every time.

A line I was given last year when the thread came around...

(empty a small bag of them...) "I finished my holiday shopping early this year".

There are several marketed magic effects using this item.

They can also be used as finale for close up routines, used in cigarette type manipulations, changed to a harmonica........
...

I do not use them for that purpose.

Thanks for the mention, Michael. I do sell the security tag as a gag and a magic effect. It's called Tagged. Not to be confused with the new trick on the market by Richard Sanders called Tagged or the new effect on the market by Rich Ferguson which is also called Tagged. Geez ... why did everyone else have to use the same *** name? lol

Cheers,

I've used Shawn's "Tagged" quite a few times. Hilarious and magical, like most of Shawn's stuff.

Shawn, I haven't tried, but will Tagged set off security alarms?

Some do and some don't. I bought the first 5000 from a wholesaler who gave me activated ones! Tagged is one of those effects that just makes you want to laugh. I had my Tagged set off the alarm at several stores. One I talk about in my lecture ...

Cheers,

Shawn

Mine are "live" as well.

The manager of a box home supply shop, did not think it funny, when I set off the alarm...(on the way into the store)

These shops are great for props and sight gags.

Tis the season to create new material...fa la la la la la la
