Very nice version of the trick.
Same vanishes as Richiardi but cleaner as Scott uses only one (thin) table. Anybody knows if this version belongs to Scott or not ? http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=tIQLvwf-JVI Arno |

Nice presentation. I think that was not a real bird, right? Looks like an old version but done with modern music.

It is Scott's updating (well almost an updating more a tribute) of Richiardi Jr.'s classic version complete with the bird put into the paper cone, dynamic music, and paper bags! Richiardi's bird is clearly real (he purposefully chases it around the cage so you can see it real). It is nicely done!

I felt Richiardi's presentation deserved to be brought back into the spotlight for modern audiences.
I didn't want to change the structure of the routine, just update the apparatus. And yes, it is a real parakeet...His name is Aldo. |

You did a great job of keeping Richiardi's presentation alive and yet making it your own. I totally enjoyed it.
May I suggest that you take another page out of Richiardi's book and "chase" your parakeet a bit. That is let (or encourage) him hop from perch to perch. It "proves" the bird is real. Richiardi added the chase bit after someone (a magician no doubt) suggested that he was using a rubber bird. But then...as I think of it...why mess with a good performance? It'll only be magicians that even think of rubber birds. BTW I actually got to see Richiardi do his version live and on stage back in the day!

Pardon me from reacting on this one. This topic might be out of date, anyway it has to be said. How can one be so arrogant to think a parkeet has to be chased to look alive and real. You think the performance will be better by just terrifying the bird? I hate magicians that just wrap their fist around their parakeet to grab it. And not only me, your audience will notice too when your not respecting your birds. spending only 5 minutes with your bird everyday, will make it jump on your finger, climb up your sleeve to your shoulder. You do not even have to buy the womack videos for it.* respect your birds, the audience will respect you for it * but of course it would help |

Both of these videos seem to be non existent anymore. Does anyone have a working link to these? I'd love to see Richiardi perform this (As well as Scott).
