Hello all....

Need some help. I can't, for the life of me, find out where the Patio Force is credited as being invented. AND IT'S KILLING ME!

The originator, I've been told, is Roy Baker, but for some reason, I haven't been able to get a solid answer with references.

Can anyone help me?

Also... is the PATEO considered PUBLIC DOMAIN?

I believe it was first published in Bakers Bonanza (published by Harry Stanley in 1968)- see Name Your Card, pg 38.

Roy Baker died a few years ago and many others have published effects using the technique. It's public domain in the sense that you could publish a routine using the PATEO force (with credit to Roy Baker) for other magicians/mentalists without needing to seek permission.

It's definitely NOT public domain if you are thinking of describing it in a publication for the general public.
