Yes it's in "Ron Wilson, The Uncanny Scot" by Kauffman. It's oop but you can find it in the used market. I got mine a few months ago for $70.
Great book! And yes that clean display at the end really seals the deal.

I recently picked up a copy of Gene Anderson's new book and it is fantastic! Any magician wishing to learn his fabulous tear should invest in a copy.

Yes Leo! I almost mentioned that book as well. Great book, with excellent real world routines and great thoughts on performing magic.

Gene Anderson - the Book! Get it.. You won't be sorry.

I haven't watched the DVD for a while , but as I recall Axel covers ever possible size variation, at least as they existed when he shot the video. The newspaper size chart that comes with trick should also help you with that. If still in doubt I think your best course of action would be to contact Axel directly.

Also, I'm not totally sure what you mean when you say: "a United States newspaper" ? There are a number of different sizes used for newspapers in the U.S. They seem to be getting smaller all the time. What newspaper do you want to use ? For example, let's just say you wanted to use the New York Times. Get a copy of the current NY Times and measure it . Then refer to the size chart you received when you purchased NewsFlash.

I posted this elsewhere on the Café , but I thought it would be appropriate to post in this thread , too:

Denis Fabre performs the Alex Emsley Torn and Restored Newspaper:

----

Be sure to check out Denis's other videos. Recently during the stay-at-home lockdown he spent his down time productively by performing and posting one magic video each day on his YouTube Channel , a total of 55 videos , for the 55 days of confinement in France, where he lives.

He posted a thread about it here on the Magic Café: https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/view......&start=0

These videos by Denis Fabre showcase beautifully performed classic magic. If only all magic posted on YouTube was like this !

I made my own version of the Newspaper torn and restored for some years now, I published it on Genii magazine, but it had a few updates since then...It's based one Axel Heklau version. It's usually between 6 and 8 minutes long.
The only version I have in English is about 14 month old, and not in the best condition as it usually close to the end of my show in French, but here it is:
