I'm hoping someone can tell me about the current Checker X that's being made by Mak Magic. I'd like to know if the checkers are made of particle board or something else.

Thanks for any help. I want to buy a set and repaint the checker with a certain color scheme, but I don't want to bother if they're just made of particle board.
