Woman Goes for Leg Operation, Gets New Anus Instead
Wednesday, March 19, 2008 A German retiree is taking a hospital to court after she went in for a leg operation and got a new anus instead, the Daily Telegraph is reporting. The woman woke up to find she had been mixed up with another patient suffering from incontinence who was to have surgery on her sphincter. The clinic in Hochfranken, Bavaria, has since suspended the surgical team. Now the woman is planning to sue the hospital. She still needs the leg operation and is searching for another hospital to do it. |

Here in my country there was a similar story about three months ago, a football player was to have his right leg operated, instead they operated his left.

I don't see what the woman is complaining about. She got a new anus, didn't she? I wouldn't mind one myself. Those things are expensive! And now she'll get to keep her new anus FOR FREE, then get her leg fixed--and hey, those doctors are going to go to extra lengths to do a good job on that leg--and she'll be sitting on top of the world! (Well, she'll be sitting on top of her new anus. But you know what I mean.)

One wonders where the doctors get a new anus from in the first place.

One also wonders what they do with the old anus.
Maybe they are refurbished so they can be sold again as new. |

There was a story here not too long ago where a man went in for some pelvic surgery of some sort...when they reattached his "plumbing" they reversed the "pipes". Which is a moral dilemma to be certain should you step up to a public urinal.

Tommy, I'll have to check into that.
Maybe anuses (ani?) aren't as expensive as I thought after all. Still, the woman got her new anus for free.... I'll bet the Piccadilly anuses (ani?) are not FREE. |
