I just got my advanced copy of Ian's new DVD yesterday, and I opened it immideately to see just how he did those baffling moves. There is some similarity in appearance between the Tabray routine, and Ian's routine, but there is no similarity in their technique. Ian's technique is absolutely different than any rope routine I have ever seen. He is a master of thinking outside the box, and his technique for this routine goes against the grain from beginning to end, it is as entertaining for magicians, as it is for the laymen. Even though it will take me some time to master this routine it is far easier than Fiber Optics, or the Tabray routine, with just as much impact. Ian has set the bar very high with his "Dances With Ropes", and any magician who buys it will be both performing, and talking about it for years to come.

You can get Dances with Ropes at: http://usmagic.biz/lecture.html There will be a "buy it now button" -Thanks, Magically yours, Magic Ian By the way, I absolutely love the style of Tabary and love the excitement of Fibre optics. The routine I have created does not touch their methods yet as Al will tell you, has a comparable impact with easy but effective moves (one of which I actually left out of his advanced copy). I have also improved the patter since that version. Any purchases on this will have updates sent as new "insertions" come out. Moves are interchangeable and progressive.

I had the good fortune to catch Magic Ian's lecture in Tampa last week. Yes, get the DVD! Your rope magic will never be the same once you update it with Ian's material.
If you get the chance book him for your club or convention lecture too. He is a great teacher as well! Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

Put my order in today and can't wait to start working on this. I loved Ian's thinking on Professor's Nightmare.

But it's not on the page Ian gave as the place to order it. I just checked again, and it's still not there.

I have found certain browsers have trouble going direct to the link. http://www.magicians.tv has all of the videos. Then you just hit the link for dances.
The sale button is above the video, and also at http://usmagic.biz/lecture.html ------- I set all this up myself and sometimes there is a glitch. Thanks to Bob and Al for guidance.

Ian,
I think you need to read the order page again that http://www.magicians.tv leads you to. I can go to the webpage, with no issue whatsoever. But your Dances With Rope DVD is not on that page. I had to go to the main page, and browse from there to find it. It just is not listed on the over all order page. RevJohn |

Having some glitches with that. I can get it but a few people lose it when they travel there.
It has to do with using a 'redirect" The actual site name is http://magicians.podbean.com/ then look for dances with ropes link. It is in a column on the left, third link down!

Hi All,
I received the "Dances With Ropes" DVD in yesterday's mail and immediately started to watch. Ian offers some "out-of-the-box" thinking and has developed handlings for Professor's Nightmare that are superb and will fry anyone who sees you perform. Ian is clear and thorough in his explanations, taking extra time to discuss several subtleties which add polish to the performance. You also receive a set of linking ropes and routine, allowing you to smoothly transition from Professor's Nightmare to the linking ropes, and back to Professor's Nightmare for a remarkably magical performance. If you perform Professor's Nightmare, you'll truly enjoy what Ian has accomplished. If you don't perform Professor's Nightmare, you will be tempted to add it to your show. A tip of my top hat to Ian. Regards, Steve

Ian,
Make that April 19th for the Ring 35 Banquet and April 20th for the lecture we've all been waiting for. http://ring35.org/ Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

The lecture at Ring #35 will be a combination lecture. My standard lecture is on th--- tips, silks, canes candles, balloons and rope. I had been doing some original flashback matrix moves from years ago as a bonus. This time around I am switching the coins for the "Dances with Ropes" segment.
