Looking for a referral to video editing software that can edit something out of video.

I'm looking for something that would be similar to the cloning tool in Photoshop, where I could paint out something in video.

If you have done this, please just provide the name of the software. No other pontificating or bantering, please.

What, exactly, were you trying to accomplish? Different programs have different strengths and capabilities.

But you said no pontificating or bantering. So, short answer: there are several software packages from Shake, Nuke, Inferno and others. Which one depends on you and the specific job.
