I have a pair of white fantail pigeons that hatched a pair of chicks a few weeks ago.
When I left my apartment this morning they were all fine. However, when I arrived home this evening I found the adult male bird dead. I have had the adult pair of birds for about a year and a half, but I don't know how old they are.
I was wondering if anything like this has happened to anyone of you. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Needless to say, I feel very bad about this. Does anybody know if the female bird can raise the chicks by herself.
Thank you for any help you may provide.

Channing Pollack is my idea of the perfect magician. For those of you that have not seen him perform, I recommend trying to get hold of a video of an old movie called "European Nights" made about 1959.
I was able to buy this video from Stevens Magic
