HI,

A quick question... How stable and sturdy is the Eureka table base? I want to use it for rather big close-up table - 90 cm x 45 cm.
Will it be vibration free, so I can use it for my cups and ball act? Or shall I go with another leg-solution?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello Andy,

I use the Eureka table bases. They are great but not for what you are describing. The table top you are describing would be too tippy and top heavy for the eureka base.

Best,

Tim

Thanks Tim,
that what I was worried about.

Guess, I have to go with a more sturdy leg arrangement.

Andy, if you have the budget for it, go with a Wellington Base.

One of the best I've ever used, its definitely a great product!

Sam,
thanks for the link. Those are very nice table bases.

Andy,
for cups and balls usage, the eureka table base is not suitable. I have seen a magician over this part of the world using it for cups and balls, and it looks so flimsy, fragile and unstable. When he slams the cups on the table top, the entire table shakes and looks like it is going to topple over.

Yes - it is really for support of a top for stage display, ditching, stealing, etc....

I think Lucy and I have sixteen Eureka table bases. Some we actually use for tables! Many are used as the base for a heavier Jet Set curtain setup. They also become parts of Chalet equipment and sound equipment.

We have found them to be very serviceable and road-worthy. I will warn you that the rubber feet get lost and the knobs break. However, we get replacement knobs at camper and RV supplier stores.

Andy use two bases for a large table. I've had one for years and they are great.
