Anyone have experience gluing neoprene to wood or metal??

So why am I responding to this? Smile

Neoprene is a closed-cell foam. It's the stuff used for wet suits in SCUBA diving. I'd think that a contact-cement-like product (like 3M Spray 77) would work on metal, although I'd also guess that wood would need a good sealer coat so the adhesive would stay on the surface and not wick into it. If I were doing it, this would definitely be a case where I'd spray both surfaces, let them get tacky, and then stick them together.

Back in the 70's I worked at an electronics manufacturing shop, yeah, we used to make things here in America. Our equiptment cases were made of aluminium and we placed the neoprene gasket on then ran a bead of Super glue and it held beautifully.
