This is a true story. A prop building friend recently cut his thumb off with a table saw and before he could retieve it his dog ate it. He let the dog live. I think I would have got my thumb back. The way he described it, the dog pretty much swallowed it whole. The ER Doctors said they could have reattached it.

I could've used this in January. Tore up my thumb pretty good. It's a pretty cool scar now, though. Or maybe I should just cut with my eyes open.

This is a cool device, but the best way to prevent accidents is simply to give 100% attention to what you are doing at all times. I have a friend who likes to come over and talk while I'm doing woodworking. When he starts talking I will shut off the saw and wait for the conversation to finish before resuming. It's almost like he can't speak unless the table saw is running, but no project is important enough that I can't postpone it when there's a distraction.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

One of the greatest Table saw invented...
Its has a great advantage to magician compare to others. Invest in this, rather than doing a "ONE TIME" hand/finger chopper. It might be most visual and deceptive hand/finger chopper illusion you ever do in you life. But I believe spend the money on this machine is better than doing that "ONE TIME" finger chopper illusion. That was VERY cool...
But never doubt my ability to cut off limbs...You'd be amazed at how I can find new an interesting ways to get injured
