I know there are several devices on the market that utilize a gimmicked marker. I am trying to create my own effect and would embrace any advice on how to go about embedding a small magnet into the tip of a sharpie magic marker.
Thanks in advance, Dov |

Hmm, never done this myself but if I were to do it I would allow the marker to dry out so it looses all its flexibility and use a flint-sized power magnet. Drill directly into the end of the tip and glue in. If you can't get hold of a flint-sized power magnet, get whatever magnet will fit in the end of the barrel, and insert a metal rod into the tip, so it makes contact with the magnet in the barrel. Should still be magnetic enough at the end of the metal tip.
Just a thought... Mark

Mark,
Those are two wonderful ideas and I will most certainly try them both. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Dov |

Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.
