Gentlemen,

I know these have been mentioned by a few performers throughout the Café. However, these stand out from most shoes and deserve a topic of their own.

In 1922, Elbert W. Allen established a small shoe company in Belgium, Wisconsin. A few years later he was joined by William Edmonds to form the Allen-Edmonds Shoe Company. Observers said the partnership worked particularly well because Allen was a keen entrepreneur and Edmonds was the salesman extraordinaire. Allen’s idea to make a dress shoe that was as stylish as it was comfortable has come to revolutionize the shoe industry.

Allen-Edmonds' shoes have been the top choice by many U.S. Presidents, Actors, Politicians, Doctors, Lawyers, Business Entrepreneur's and more.

They sell most sizes from 6 to 16 and come in a variety of widths from A to EEE.

If you buy a pair, you can expect to pay between $150.00 US and $400.00 US (depending on how rare the pair is, and the sale).

However, with each pair you can expect quality, and if you take care of the shoes well, it will be a worthy investment as each pair will last a long time.

How's the toe width compared to Clarke or Mephisto-Match?

I don't know how they stack up, sizewise, next to Clarke or Memphisto.

Maybe you can glean something from this:

The great thing about these shoes is when it comes time to replace the soles, if you send back the shoes, they can re finish the uppers for you. You walk away with a 90% new shoe. Jonathan, the toe width is comparable. Depending on where you shop, the toe box can be stretched fairly easily if you need it.

Best,

I wish I was happy ordering American sizes.

Ive got 2 pair of Nike Shox.
Both same size , but one is a much larger fit.

I would love to have a pair of the Emonds
if I can work out a good fit.

I sympathize Wayne! I would like to get a pair of Adidas golf shoes, but they are made on a different last than what I can get from Footjoy or Etonic.

Cheers! Smile

Best shoes I have ever worn. I have two pair, Bridgeton (discontinued), and Chester. I had always hated dress shoes of any kind till I put these on.
