I was inspired to consider some of Tim Clothier's work from his book titled "Advanced Illusion Projects" from reading a recent post on the Café regarding his Trapdoor Illusion.

I was wondering if anyone has constructed the R/C Car Vanish? This seems like a pretty cool effect and the workings behind it seem to be "do-able". Anyone have any comments on this illusion?

Hey,
I would also like to do this one but I haven't had the time to build it yet, so if anyone has please let us know. Thanks,

Its where a radio controlled car basicaly vanishes from one side of the stage then reappears the other side, kinda like the duck vanish/appearence

Any videos of this effect? I've been searching but not able to find any performance videos of this.

I have the book and it looks like a very deceptive illusion. I must be missing something because I’ve read it over and over again and can’t seem to understand why the vanished car can’t be seen. If someone here has a better understanding PM me. Thanks
