Does anyone know if this is for real?

I have Ricky on one of my Google alert lists and this appeared this last night. It sounds like a gag, but some of the musical cuts are worthy plus it would be a chance to see Ricky work with a deck of cards and his wit.

It not, its a cruel joke (especially at 6:00 in the morning before my first cup of coffee)!

Ricky Jay appeared in a video for Bob Dylan's Tweedle Dee and Dweedle Dum from his Love and Theft album about five years ago -- in the video, Ricky Jay, Dylan and a few others are playing poker with Rick Jay dealing. It was available for viewing on Ricky Jay's web page.

Article doesn't seem fake at a first glance. Guess we'll find out for sure in late November. If it is a real upcoming release, I'd pick it up.

Can anyone help?

I'd like to buy this - but I'm wondering if there are two editions available - a "deluxe edition" and a standard edition

I live in the UK and amazon.co.uk are listing it here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ricky-Plays-Poke......p;sr=8-1

It mentions a dvd, but makes no mention of the 72pp booklet and the pack of cards.

I'd obviously like the complete package. Does anyone know if two editions are available, or am I safe in ordering the above?

Any advice much appreciated!

I think only deluxe editions are available.

Yes, as far as I'm aware, the only one available comes with the CD, DVD, booklet, and deck of cards.

Yep, I found the DVD to be quite entertaining. I've not made it all the way through the CD and booklet yet (too busy traveling!) and I haven't opened the cards, but all in all, I was quite happy with the whole package when I opened up my box from amazon.com
