Can anyone who has used both let me know the merits of each for use on cards.

I can find the Krylon readily, but the Testors is a real pain....

What are you doing with it? Large or small Qty?

Testors to me is a bit more tacky.. but depends on application.

Krylon 1311 should stand you in good stead for whatever you are going to use it for. I would not worry about comparisons between the two, it would probably prove to be a moot point.

AS for the response to what I am doing, I am going to be making a couple of the Decks that use the principle.

The big issue for me is availability. If they are both about the same for R/S then I guess it maybe the Krylon.

Any horror stories other than applying too much?

And does centre strip, horizontal or vertical make a difference?

Thanks in advance...

Light coat is all you will probably need...2 dustings should suffice.

Which ever application pattern you are/will be most comfortable with. You know what you are going to do with the cards.

FWIW

I prefer the Testers. The Krylon is a tad to "rough" to me.

If you are referring to the advice from one of the other threads that recommends taping off a 1" - 1.5" strip on the back of the card, I definitely recommend a horizontal strip right in the middle of the card back. Krylon IS a bit rougher and the strip helps quite a bit with the eventual separation of the cards. If you have a choice and both products are equally available to you I would have to say that the Testor's is the better choice but, as Stanyon has already indicated, the overall difference is minimal.

Testors works great. I agree with the twice over dusting as an application. This is what I do. I have never had trouble with the decks I have made using dulcote.
