Out of the four doves I have one of them is quite different from the others in the way he uses his/her wings when flapping. He raises his right wing farther forward from the point of the wing leaving his/her shoulder. His sense of balance seems to be lacking versus the others when trying to land on the finger. The other doves are almost doing complete fly-backs but this one does not hardly ever fly from finger to finger.
The dove is not injured in any way that I have seen and has always flapped his wings that way. Also of the lot he/she is the most nervous. Perches on your finger quite well and will stay there. Any ideas or anything I can do? James Adamson http://www.seam2006.com

It sounds like a neurological problem, and the nervousness could very well be a part of it.
