You don't need a watch gimmick. Check out Mr.Electric's video from Stevens. Very practical method.

Thanks Ron, a couple of years ago I made the gimmic for the watch, just changed it a bit to make it simplier, but lost it in my travels. So if there is an easier way that doesn't ruin the effect I'd love to know.
