I know there aren't a lot of women on this board, but if you know someone who may be interested in this project, please pass along this info...


We are seeking female performers to join the Flip-Side Ensemble. The Flip-Side Ensemble is a group of performing artists dedicated to the variety arts. We perform solo and as a group, and make up the core of the cast of the Opry Mills Olde Time Family Theatre. Our own show is called The Really Big Show and we market it to theaters and corporate clients around the country. Current members include John Pyka (director), Lonny and Krista Divine, and Arista Collins. We perform as several characters. IE, Big Daddy Cool & The Swing Kittens, Uncle Eddie Sparks, and Gypsy Tavi.

We are looking for a few additional female performers to round out the ensemble. We are seeking women who can sing and dance. Additional variety performance skills are also a plus. IE, juggling, fireeating, musical instruments, characters, imressions, puppetry, bellydance, magic, sword swallowing, mime, yo-yo tricks, etc...

The right person must be committed to a collaborative ensemble atmosphere and be willing to work as and for the group. Self centered performers need not apply. You must be over 18, and you must have reliable transportation. We rehearse weekly, usually one night per week, and there may be some out of town travel. Performances are almost always on the weekends and usually in the evening. Some performances are paid, some are not. If you are interested only in a paycheck, then you are not the right person for this ensemble. You must be committed to performing above all else.
