I second the Work Force or Guard Force Aluminum type box at Lowe's or Home Depot. Some spray adhesive is ideal for mounting your close up mat.

Pocket management is the key-forget the case. Real magicians shouldn't have cases. Just my take on it.

Depends what you're doing. If you're strolling, no case. If you're doing a proper full closeup show, you'll need something to carry your gear (unless you're just using a deck of cards and some coins for the hour .....).

Here are my two franklin halfs worth.

Nearly Normal Close Up Cases.

1. My wife gave me a old writing desk that has a slanting lid where I put my close up pad.(for set shows) Inside I put things that I will use. When I get to the show I "load" my appropriate pockets.

The slanted lid allows my routines to be seen a bit better.

2. I have found many leather attache cases in very good condition at garage or estate sales. Many with combinations that have not been set yet.

3. At one garage sale I found my Duck Tales small bag. Since I have a lot of wacky props it is fun to take them out of a wacky bag.

Some of you may already have heard of my imitation of a Duck.

Here goes for the rest of you.
