This could be a contemporary version of Mark Wilson's train sawing. Make a large SUV shaped box for your assistant to lie in. SUV's are popular and in the news a lot nowadays. (Is this idea too corny??)

Cute. The Train thing had the advantage of the trackbed and rails adding depth for the Owens base. Not sure those design features easily translate to what you are considering.

"Rocks" could be used instead of train tracks. It would be interesting to see what a final design would look like.
