Two great items for Street are a inkwriter for stunning mental effects, and a mismade bill for the legendary bill switch.

I am a huge fan of the hundy 500, it is one of those effects you can carry on you everywhere you go and when someone asks to see an effect you have it.

Some of the best gimmicks I use are:

The change bag
Dove
Zig-Zag-Box
Thumbtip
My floating table I made
A rubber chicken

and the best one of all is

My floating flame, I light up a white ball from a genielamp... and walk away with a floating ball of fire

It really blows "Magicians Minds"

Can't we agree, that *gimmicks* are secret/invisible devices and not a routine like Hundy 500 or a rubber chicken, or even a force deck?

The *Raven* is a gimmick and so is a *TT*, as well as a *Topit*.

On second thought, oh well, a force deck is OK, and so is a shell...

On second thought (and David Roth mentioned this in one of his videos) a shell is a FAKE something that is seen but not understood, as opposed to a gimmick, which isn't seen, but I still like my shell.

David Roth is no doubt correct, but still it as a bit of a play with words, BECAUSE, a [ is a *fake* and a fake is a *gimmick*, right?

However, a routine can never be a *gimmick*, normally a *gimmick* is an unseen tool, like a TT, a Topit, that kind..and a *one way forcing deck* is a tool/fake too, not really a gimmick.

So to term a *gimmick* correctly, I really think it always is an unseen tool, even if it is visible like a TT, it still is 'unseen'.
A Dyetube is a gimmick..that kind..

Ppl telling here, there favourite gimmick is this or that routine didn't understand the original question!

In loving memory of Hughie Thomasson 1952-2007.

You brought something beautiful to this world, you touched my heart, my soul and my life. You will be greatly missed.

Until we meet again “my old friend”.

a regular stacked-memorized deck
you wouldnt believe how many miracles you can pull off with that.
other than that...... somewhat "easier" one to use ... is

Handz Up is my favorite gimmick. Levitations, bizarre illusions with everyday objects, comedy routines are all done with this simple, yet effective quality gimmick.
