After waiting several minutes, the page never came up. It may be my slow connection or something else.

Is there anyway you could have everyone on the Magic Café see it?
If you could send everyone a pm.

No, that's not possible and Steve Brooks would not think good about it.
But if you are a member in other forums, just make there a post if you like an article.

If you could send everyone a pm.

Everyone seeing it would diminish the effect and the method. Second, the method is not earth-shattering and not the only technique plus the finished product is not the standard. It is a good method, but not the best method.
Last, those interested will find this conversation thread, those not interested should not be bothered by a pm. Steve Brooks has a paid program for anyone who wishes a PM sent to everyone. This is for commerce driven content, not a subject that is niche driven.
I have hundreds of methods for effects and would soon bore people with what would be spam if I sent out a PM on what I deem to be a great method for something.
One more comment, is that I have a DVD out on Linking ropes and your gimmick as you have made it will not work in all routines. Not everyone uses the same fingers to open and close the link, and in my effects, I do not use the fingers at all, but merely pull the ropes thru which will not work with your gimmick. One last thing is that the rope you use is not available everywhere and a lot of rope that is available is not condusive to the gimmick placement.

Good point on the gimmick placement Ian.
That clarified my question, being familiar with your set-up.

I understood him, that he was not reffering the rope method to PM to all mebers but just inform about my blog in general.

But anyway, people that will find the interesting articles because I post them in the appropriate boards.
