Nashville Entertainer John Pyka Makes His "Return" In The Really BIG Show

Nashville - Most people in Nashville will generally recognize him as the 1940s swing hipster "Big Daddy Cool" Johnny Dellarocca, but on March 22, John B. Pyka steps out from under the trademark red fedora to make his "return" to Nashville.

John B. Pyka has been performing for audiences worldwide for nearly 20 years, fusing music, magic and theater. He has been seen on MTV's "Spring Break," A&E's "An Evening At The Improv," and the PBS documentary "Magical Time Travelers." He is the creator and star of the hit touring show "Swingin' At The Roxy," and director and consultant to illusionist Jason Michaels. John is also the producer and host of the Opry Mills Olde Time Family Theater, and the wildly popular Music City Magic. In July 2005 he was recognized as one of the top 5 stage magicians worldwide when he was named as a Gold Medal Finalist by the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

For the past 5 years, John has performed in the Nashville area almost exclusively as his signature character "Big Daddy Cool," but on March 22, he will show audiences another side of his performing career as the producer and host of The Really BIG Show at the Gibson Showcase.

"This show is a little different" say John, "I'll be appearing as Big Daddy Cool, but I'll also be playing several other characters like Uncle Eddie Sparks, Johnny Beyond, and of course, my lovable self." Along with John are his newly formed FL!P-S!DE Ensemble, which includes Lonny & Krista Divine, Arista Collins and belly dancer Gypsy Tavi. "This show has a little of everything," John adds. "It's got music, magic, contemporary illusion, belly dancing, swing music and dance, comedy, and audience participation!" To top everything off, John's new show is family friendly.

The Really BIG Show debuts March 22 at the Gibson Showcase at Opry Mills. Showtime is 8 PM and tickets are only $10. Food and beverages will be available at an additional cost. For more info or to reserve tickets call John at 615-612-2993.

MEDIA NOTE: John Pyka and additional members of the cast are available for on-air appearances/performances. To schedule an appearance call John at 615-612-2993.
