Hi, I am interested in learning the flourish that begins at 17 seconds in the clip. If it is a personal flourish of the artist performing it I will digress, but I am curious if this is taught anywhere.

I appreciate any feedback.

An age-old question without an answer. That's Daren Yeow's Mockingbird, and while everybody and his brother wants to learn it, there's no official tutorial for it. Daren most likely will never release a tutorial, or if he does, he and his crew will hype it up beyond belief and probably charge a pretty penny for it.

If you search Google, you can find an old tutorial on Youku, which is a Japanese video site. Otherwise, you're outta luck. It's probably best to get someone who knows it to teach you.

It's nothin'. It's my fault for not having a cool kid name like DJ Trix! Haha.

Haha. Smile

Yes, I would imagine an awarded poet would desire some form of soul stirring affix to ramp up the cool. What gives?! Smile

Hi, fellows!
I saw some "Daren Yeow's Mockingbird"'s kind of "tutorials". And there are some options of learning this move on the tube. I don't know for some DVD release.
Thanks!

If you like this one also check out "twisted wings of the mockingbird" by Kevin Ho. I never learned the original mockingbird but from what I can see the basic grip is the same so it might give you some nice opportunities to combine the two.

That is definitely not the same grip whatsoever. The two flourishes are not related or similar at all. They just share the name.

Oh my apologies, I now see the card is held between the pinky and the palm instead of the thumb and forefinger. It just instantly reminded me somehow of that flourish, I was in a hurry and should've paid more attention, thanks for pointing it out Smile.
