Got the main part of this flourish sussed but any tips to get the cards to faro easily?
New cards better, type of cards, or amount of pressure?

Depending on which of the 5 one handed shuffles you are doing, will depend on technique. I assume you are doing the common one most magicians do attributed to Howard DeCourcey. If you are using that one, a stong pinky on the corner, with the help of pressure from your thumb and index finger. I find that if it doesn't faro, then release pressure and start again gently. This should help.

I can do a one hand shuffle fairly well and all it took was a lot of practice, When I first started I used warped cards and that I guess helped a little. But the key thing is to not expect to get it right away, which you probably know, and it will take a while to learn... Smile
