If I haven't already mentioned it yet, the Web is made completely of powder coated Aluminum.

I like simple illusions- things with plots that are easy to understand- it lets you work on presentation. This seems to fit the bill! I could see a neat bizarre presentation!

Said this before. Both Lance (creator) and Jack (builder) have both done an amazing job with this. You use your REAL hands and it is NOT a walk around. Great job guys.

I've had the opportunity to see one of these up close and play with it as well! Jack has done a great job building these and it is well built for the travelling performer who needs equipment that with withstand the rigors of "life on the road". I really couldn't find anything negative to say about "The Web" other than maybe adding a hasp to keep it in the "presentation position" while threading the rope through it (I don't think that gives anything away?). Otherwise, it seems to be a well built illusion.
Great job Jack! -Bryan Gilles |

I think that this support can be adapted for execution around. It is possible to use a round cover, a hoop. What do you think?

Yes its possible to use a round hoop but not advised! I have the illusion and you don't want to do this surrounded! Its a fine illusion though!

I've had several inquires regarding the "Web Sale" which expired end of '06. I'm going to continue the sale till the end of Jan. for the WEB....however a flat rate of $50 will now apply for shipping. That's still a savings of $150!!!

I agree with Bryan Gilles on the hasp.
I have made two velcro straps that are attached around the two opposite sides. this keeps every thing 'together'. there is a piece of cord running from one side to the other (from one strap to the other) and tied in the middle is a box of cards. so throughout the show (up until I perform the web) this box of cards is in view at all times. at the begininning of my show I through another box of cards into the audience and get someone to remove any card and to show every one his free choice. then I remove the cards from the box that has been in view (suspended between the web posts) and one card has its back facing the audience - lo and behold, it is the chosen card. this little card routine gives me a reason to have the straps attached and at the same time keeps my web illusion 'in position' for it's own routine that follows shortly. great illusion. Sorry.. I am more an amateur than a professionist.. but I don't get the illusion. I mean... the magician passes from behind to the front? I'm sure is done in a total different way but.. I mean.. the structure can just collapse and the magician steps forward.. then it comes up again... I really don't understand..... 1.000 $ ?!

The prop is completly cover when the magician ''pass through'' the rope. To my mind, it is not visual enough. Still I'm sure that lot of you have done a great job with it. Johnny |

Like ALL effects on the market from cards to grand illusion, they don't "appeal" to every performer. The buyers of the Web have been VERY happy. The all aluminum powder coated finish, with hard shell ATA case is a bargin of workmanship & materials if you have had experience with other stage effects.
As long as the buyers are happy, I'm happy. Jack

Hi !
I recieved my "web" illusion two days ago and I was very impressed by the quality of this prop first thing : the flight case is incredible and I was surprised to recieve it...In fact I forgot that the ATA case was included and it's a gift for the total price... The prop is very well made, very fast to assembly and will not move on stage when you go thru the web due to the two locking casters! Jack is really a nice guy and it's a pleasure to buy something from him . It's very great to recieve some mails from him in order to know the process of the order and shipment... regards allan (france) |
