All was well. Jason, (my oldest) his family, wife and two daughters and son were coming out for a visit from Florida next week. For about a week, he didn't feel too well, thought it was a stomach flu or some such, no biggie. Finally went to the Doctor yesterday and it was determined his apendix had burst sometime during last week. Prior to emergency surgery last night he said he never felt a thing like a 'bursting' was supposed to feel like. Blood work even showed normal but his Doctor had suspicions.

He is in intensive care this morning. he's a very good man with a terrific family. So whatever you do on an Easter Sunday...do it.

For those who collect coincidences, I received the call last night while we were watching The Ten Commandments...it was the scene where the First Born are being 'taken'. Surreal.

Doug, I'm not a praying type, but I'll say one for Jason.

Hi Doug,

In the mid-70s I began feeling sick to my stomach and stubborn as I can be spent a couple of days on the couch, getting worse, unable to move much. Finally I went to the doctor.
What had happened was that my appendix didn't 'burst' per se but somehow perforated, was slowly getting gangrenous and poisoning me.

I was immediately put in the hospital and operated on.
Later they had to pump my stomach because, again being stubborn, I drank water when I wasn't supposed to.

I see no reason why Jason won't be back to normal soon.
Best,

Doug,

Thankfully, your son went to the doctor when he did.

Hoping that your son has an uncomplicated recovery and that very soon
your family will breath that ever so precious sigh of relief.

Good luck and thank goodness for modern drugs. I've known only one guy who had his appendix rupture and he went three days with it before he was found passed out and they had a few days of grave concern then they got everything in control and he recovered. So keep up hope he'll be fine.
