Hiya.

My name’s Andy Charlton and I’m an Alcoholic. Oh it’s not that type of meeting, sorry.

O.k. My names Andy Charlton and I’m a magician...... sort of.

I have been a full time Drummer for the last 20 years or so, but over the past 5 years my love of magic has taken a bigger and bigger part of my time.

I now do 60 or so close up gigs a year, and 60 or so Kids parties, not an earth shattering amount, but not bad considering I work 300 nights a year in my main Job.

My list of Favourite magicians Starts chronologically with David Nixon, and is probably currently Doc Eason, and in between includes, Greg Wilson, David Williamson, Michael Ammar, Ali Bongo, Terry Seabrook, John Lenahan and too many more to list.

I’m really looking forward to becoming a part of this Forum

Cheers

Andy

PS. Re the first sentence, I’m not really an alcoholic

PPS No, I’m not in Denial

PPPS NO I’M NOT!

Hi Andy,

we all Welcome you to The Magic Cafe, I know you’ll love it here!

By the way, a lot of us here are musicians as well. I myself play both drums & guitar.

You’re in good company here! Smile

Andy--

Until you can admit your problem, you'll never get well. So just say it: you're a magiholic!

BTW--I sing lead vocals and harmony, and play bass guitar and harmonica. Sounds like we got us a band!

Hi Andy, I guess with you being a drummer in England you must be paid by the pound. Smile

Andy!!!

I can't believe you're from Skegness, and used THAT subject line for this introduction topic. It would've cracked my parents up. And with that, I gotta tell you a story.

I used to live in Skegness. I moved there when I was about a year and a half old and stayed there until I was three or four, my father being stationed at a US Air Force base out that way. The locals, seeing the toddler who was once me for the first time, would inevitably tell my parents, "You're so fortunate. Now your child will return to the States speaking Proper English."

Meanwhile, as I was wheeled through the park in my stroller, I'd be greeting the neighbors with, "Hiya, everybody!" Within weeks, those previously promoting the benefits of Proper English were responding, "Hiya, Steve."

I guess that's some sort of magic of it's own type. Heaven knows I couldn't do it now. But then, I was a whole lot cuter in 1955!

So: Hiya, Andy, from the former tyke who brought "Hiya" to Skegness Smile
