Hi everyone,

I have seen Jay from Penguinmagic.co.uk perform a hat through arm (on a demo CD-ROM). I can't remember the effect, so I suppose I shall have to explain it.

Jay takes his hat off his head, and then puts his arm into the hat past his elbow - yet the size of the hat is that equivalent to a bowler hat.

Does anyone know how to do this or have any information that can help me with it?

Cheers,

Chris

You can find it on Jim Pace's "Visu-Antics" DVD, simply called "Hat Trick."

Yup, Jim Pace uses it in Visu-Antics. He does it in a comical way so it's more convincing and fun to do. Smile

Thanks for the help dynamiteassasin, but Sylvester the Jester does not perform this move on there - this is the Sylvester Pitch and other coin sleights (by the way, you can find the Sylvester Pitch on the 'On the Spot' DVD by Greg Wilson).

Get Jim Pace's Visu-Antics DVD.
Full of surprises and it has the arm into hat gag.
Highly recommended!
Best of luck,
Michael

Is the move a simple move or do you really need a video to learn it? Just curious
