Is anyone aware of published effects with jewelry, such as beaded bracelets,
or a necklace, where the colors change or switch places, etc.

Could even be a hotrod type thing where the bracelet changes to all one color bead?

Does this stir anyone's memory?

I'm already aware of Dill's "Nana's Neclace" and I'm not referring to that.
Something with beads on a silver or gold chain, is what I'm after.

Thanks,
Frank

There was something in M.U.M. long ago.

An elastic string and and several small beads and charms are dumped from a 35mm film cannister. They're returned to the cannister and after a few magic gestures there is a bracelet you could give away. I'm sure that a small envelope and chain could be used but the elastic is for all sizes.

Another idea is to have two strings or packets of beads. Each a different color, shape or both. Pour the beads in something and when removed have a piece of jewelry with alternating colors.

Hope this helps.

Something I have been doing with Jewelry is that the Tenyo "eye of the idol".
I have always found this prop really neat, it comes supplied with 5 gems/crystals.
You can substitute those for beads or other small objects for that matter.
It's great and you can get the spectator to do the work, yeh the idol will always reveal the item they chose.

Frank,

In the February 2004 of Linking Ring, there is an excellent routine by Stephen D. Gervais called "My dog, Pearl". Basically, you show a string of pearl and you magically transformed it in a dog.

I don't do that trick, but everywhere I go I pass out that dog, and a business card. I do not do balloons, but the dog is a KILLER with adult women. I give them the string of 17 pearls, and I say keep this to remember me by, they look at me like I'm crazy, then I change the beads into the dog, and I repeat "IT KILLS". They all tell me that the dog is going in there jewelry box, and months later they remember me as the magician who gave them the dog. I have had waitresses follow me to the parking lot to thank me for the dog, which I paid $.03 to make. This is my little secret so don't tell anybody.

Al,

I do this trick and I second you to the fact the people love the little dog.

I believe that in the Al Shaxon issue of Magic a few months back he had a very similiar effect that used flash paper. It culminated in the handout of a poodle made out of pearls.
