I absolutley LOVE these rubber bands from Office Depot and I think they deserve a thread of their own. Who all out there uses them? Which are your favorites?

I like the blue ones for boomerang rubberband, but if it's hard to see against the floor I'll use a new orange one that hasn't been stretched out too much.

I use the orange ones for CMH and linking bands with the blue ones.

I use the green ones from time to time when I need a thicker band.

As with Jolly Ranchers, I hate the purple ones.

The big fat pink ones I only use as real rubberbands around the house. Very durable.

I use the yellow ones #19 for CMH

I use the green #32, and purple #33 for "boomerang rubber band" because they have more torque an they are easyily seen scurrying across the floor.

I use the pink #64 for "found link"

The blue #16 I use for a "stargazer" decoy.

I shoot the orange #18 at my wife's butt whenever she complains about too many green, and purple ones all over the tile kitchen floor.

Thank you both for your business. I still have several pounds of the yellow # 19 brites. Welcome to the world of highly visible rubberband magic.

I carry about 10 of these everywhere I go in my Joshua Jay Pro Carrier. They fit great into the little compartment right next to the zippered pocket. Bands on one side, business cards on the other, a few business cards in the clear pocket, a deck 'o' cards, and my Johnson Cig-Thru-Quarter in the zippered pocket.

If you learn to do "found link" you will find a good use for those pink #64 Brites rubber bands, and it will become your favorite inpromptu rubber band trick.

Which one is that?

The linking bands trick I currently use is the same as Michael Ammar's linking headbands, but with rubberbands.

The most devistating trick there is in rubber band magic is Vince Mendoza's "found link" and "rhing thing" look at the demo and you will agree http://www.flipsideproductions.com/MAGIC/FLRT.htm and combined with "pinnacle" you have a trick head and shoulders above all the rest.

Someone should mention that the BRITES blue rubber band is the ULTIMATE band for the Boomerang rubberband. I have yet to find a better one. More info on this band and effect here: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......cdbdefc8

The blue, orange, lime, and purple Brites rubber bands all works well, but who can see that tiny little blue #16 rubber band scurrying across the floor. With my old eyes I have to use the lime, or purple.
have fun

Al,

Low and behold, you are right, although they don't have the zoom or precision as the little blue #16. Too bad they don't make them in neon lime. Thanks for the tip....keep em rolling!

Thanks for that thread. You were even able to get words of wisdom from the elusive Dan Harlan. I have been able to get a purple one go up my arm, and in my shirt pocket, but rarely.

I apologize your one hand display of the Chris Kenner "missing link" is a beautiful thing to behold, especially the way you rotate the dangling rubber band all the way around, I am very jealous of that move, because I can't do it. Godfather please don't send a hit man to my house. I can't get your demo of the liquid penetration to play for me at the video depot, but when I buy your new DVD I plan on learning it.
