Does anybody make plastic thimbles that look like little shotglasses? And if not does anybody have any ideas of anybody that could possibly make these?

Do you mean clear? If so, have someone with a lathe carve them for you.

The vernet ones look closest to a basic cup shape that I've seen, if you want people to think they are like shot glasses then knock back a shot from one. Don't forget the phrase "I'll just have a thimble full", which was used when someone wanted a drink but wasn't supposed to have one.
