I bought the new Fernando Keops Set, and I think the Chink a Chink routine with dice is simply amazing, do you know where I can buy the dice box?

Re that Daryl routine...if it's the one with 2 clothnapkins, and, IIRC, done with sugarcubes, this is THE routine I want to do, whenever I would find time to learn and study it.
It actually is a 'classic', earlier done with 2 hats, and the Daryl handling is an absolutely GREAT lesson in misdirection.

THIS routine is -for me- a pleasure to watch and a real treat...apart from this it is impromptu, with the sole restriction a table is needed, but otherwise, one of the greatest classic routines one ever could do..

I almost would prefere it -in a restaurant situation- instead of the C&Bs..

Maybe I'm biased, but to me this routine, the way Daryl does it, is about one of the greatest things any close-up magician ever could do.

The second I saw him do it I realized its pretentionals and also I've know it from way back (done with rolled up paper napkins and 2 hats) the way Daryl does it is real magic.

I could go on and on, I'm really in love with this routine.

It's NOT difficult to do, no fancy sleight of hand, but one has to study it well do do it justice..

I really hope one day, I can pull myself together and start doing it...

This is one of those things one would do for the rest of ones life..and enjoy doing it..at least that is MY feeling re this routine..
IMHO, the very best thing on all the Foller Dooler DVDs, and there are a lot of great routines!
The guys can keep all their backclips and JW grips for themselfes, I would settle for this old time classic of magic instead!
Doing this routine IS to me, the fine *Art of Magic*!!

Jay Sankey also has a clever matrix with dice called "Op Bones" in the May 1984 issue of Richard's Almanac.

Not one person has answered the initial poster's question. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO BUY THE BOX THAT KEOPS USES ON HIS VIDEO? Does anyone know the name of the box (it may help with a search). It was unclear on the DVD what Keops called it. I think it was a devil's box or a double box, however Google searches with that name came up with undesireable results.

Essentially the box functions like a Boston Coin Box, but instead uses a die (so it can look empty or full depending on the orientation). Can anyone help?

Then that would be Ken Brookes Poker Pot, uses such a metal topless box. Not made any longer. Maybe Ace Place will decide to make again one day.

There was a plastic box out some years ago like this also.

Werner. You are correct that Daryl does Silent Mora's "Mystery of the Traveling Marbles" with sugar cubes and napkins on FD #1. He also does a killer "Four Dice Chink-a-Chink", attributed to Bob Farrell on FD#3. Both are excellent, easy to learn routines.

Daniel Cross used such a box when he was working at the Desert Inn hotel, casino in Las vegas. I don't remember what it was called. I believe Hank Lee sold a version of it for awhile don't know if it is available any longer. I had seen a plastic one about 5 years ago but it was very badly made and Don't think it would have fooled anyone. I have been looking for a box such as this for several years but as I said the few I have seen have been nothing anyone would want.

By the way, I am sure the topic title was just accidentally mis-spelled, but the plural of the noun is "dice" not "dices." A half pair of dice is called a "die." We must keep these distinctions firm in both our and our audiences' minds, or all of the wonderful one-liners and bits of business will get lost.

"Like mice/mouse, it is dice/douse. One of these is called a douse. What? No, you should never say die..." parump, rump.
