Hi there,
I've have seen Doc's dice switch, where he uses a self-made tool to make the switch of the dices, and it really amazed me. I don't like to use mechanical tools or a-like, I like sleight-of-hand.
So therefore my question is to you:
Do you know any books, videos, dvd's or other material where they teach some good dice switches? I prefer learning different types, so not just one switch, but various of switches would be great..
any additional info on the subject would be great as well...
Regards,
Dennis

In Scarne's book "Scarne on dice", there is a chapter devoted to dice switches. You'll learn a bunch of other interesting things about dice swindles: biased bets, cheating dice throwing, crooked dice and s.o.
Good luck!
Jonathan.

If you look in bobos coin magic many of the switches could be adapted easily to dice.

Milt Kort has some work on dice switching in his book "KORT". Steve Forte can do some unbelievable stuff with dice.

Ok- I've been patient, but now I'm begging. If anyone can point me to the source for this dice switch I would be greatly appreciative. I am not looking for a freebie, I am happy to pay for this effect, I just have no idea where to find it. If it is not for sale, I would still be interested in learning anything more about it or it's developer. Thank you,
Al

It's Doc's creation and to my knowledge it's not for sale. Why don't you contact him on this board?

Books and videos which deal with dice switches and controls (not always explain in great details):
- "Eddie Fechter's Dice Holdout Methods For Magician" by Jerry Mentzer
- "Shoot The Works" by Edward Marlo
- "Radner On Dice" by Sidney H. Radner
- "Dice: Squares, Tops and Shapes" by William Burton
- "Scarne On Dice" by John Scarne
- "Casino Game Protection" by Steve Forte
- "Dealing With Cheats" by A. D. Livingston
- "How To Dectect Crooked Gambling" by Frank Garcia
- "Steve Forte's Gambling Protection Series Volume 4" by Steve Forte
- "Cheating At 21 & Craps" by George Joseph
- "Cheating At Gin & Backgammon" by George Joseph
Hope it helps.

Years ago I saw a video of Bobo (of Bobo's Modern Coin Magic fame) doing some nice switching with dice. I believe Steven's sells this video.
