The method on Pinnacle is good. but I think it's a stupid idea to put a single trick on a dvd and sell it. That idea is known for years.
Kind Regards,
JP

I always follow a straight CMH by having the spectator pinch one band between thumb and finger of each hand. I then very carefully setup to repeat CMH with them holding that band. From the strong, emotional reactions I get (choosing the right volunteer in advance is part of that) it almost makes CMH into a Bizarre trick...

I do a few other silly things with the bands just to justify having them, but CMH is what people remember and ask me to do for their friends.

Incidentally, I have yet to have someone mention seeing it done anywhere else. Is that surprising?

I did it yesterday, and a guy said he knew how it was done, he said it was shown on TV. I said I doubt that he saw this trick. So he got two rubber bands, and separated them using a different method, but it didn't look as clean.

CMH looks great using a finger ring. Use a ring instead of a second rubber band and have the ring penetrate through both strands. I've done this to people who have seen CMH before and they were blown away. It's a great addition to Pinnacle, The Joining and FLRT.

I've lost count of how many times I've done the penetrating bands (aka CMH) for my kids and they're still mystified and beg me to teach it to them. The first time I did it for my wife, right under her nose with one band on her own fingers, her mouth just sort of fell open and she sat there stunned and said, "That was weird." Often I get the, "That's nice dear," response and she goes back to whatever she was doing. If a magician's wife is amazed, it must be good. CMH gets my vote, too.

CHM is the best.
Sometimes I do the "Back-two gether" as Dan Harlan does in his video.

Trainspotter,
The Back-two gether portion that Dan Harlan does on the video was created by my friend Mark Fitzgerald who visits this board quit often.

Thanks to all for the nice comments on "The Joining." It does make a great finish to Pinnacle.

CMH/Pinnacle and Star Gazer

Star Gazer I use my own patter about Pop Idol needing a magician on the panel... let me show you why...

Part 1 - The show promises to make you a star blah blah...
Part 2 - Blah Blah.. But most couldn't even play a triangle let alone sing
Part 3 - After weeks the winner is supposed to become a star but all too quickly they fade away into obscurity...
Part 4 - Now if a magician were on the panel... we'd make sure the winner became a permanent star...

Part 1 basic start, 2 Triangle in triangle, 3 Star in a Star, 4 bands apart showing the star - all above patter padded out as appropriate...
catch you later

Big fan of CMH and Missing Link here...

I have to admit Vinny's new Liquid Rubber penetration on his upcoming DVD is pretty sweet looking.

CMH gets my vote, but I also like travelling cash. Easy to learn and if done right it looks brilliant.

I like CMH because it's straight forward. Rubber bands just penatrate. Pinnacle is nice too, again straight forward. Ring goes on rubber band, ring comes off rubber band. That's why I really like Found Link and Rhing Thing. This is very direct magic, and it's a jawdropper.

I like to do missing link as well. Its very visual and easy to perform! Hey Vinny, In visual Penetration do you have to use a pencil or can you use a ring or another object?

You can use any object even your finger/. I decided to use a pencil because it's handy and their are many tricks that use a pen or pencil..
if you are performing CMH or Missing link this little effect can also be incorperated into your routine..
vinny
ps I never tried it with a ring....
