Hello,

So I was looking for a doctors styled bag in something fairly durable, more function than form. Doesn't need to carry much. The usual stack of cups, a wand (stick) bottle of water, hank of rope. I was really liking the looks of this one from Deluth: http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/mens/......002.aspx but it's way overkill for what I need, too big you know? I'm looking for something just to carry, not necessarily work from. For a strolling gig, I could pack pockets from the bag and then kick it under a table somewhere. Something durable, not overly expensive and functional. Anyone carry something along these lines? Suggestions, directions, reccomendations?

Just search doctor bags on the big auction site. You have to be patient but nice gotten 3 really nice bags over the years for around 40-80 each

Try looking at my favorite magic shop. St, Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army, DESERET, ETC.

I reeently picked up what I think is a camera "gadget" case, LIKE NEW, for ONE DOLLAR!

A couple years ago, I "found" a "doctor's bag" in a TRUCK STOP. About $20. Truckers use them to carry shower stuff into the truck stops.

LOL, now that's a bag ....I've used a briefcase before and a backpack, I guess it depends on how much you have.

How about a fanny pack, 2 mid sized packs should be able to hold most acts.

I would like to add carpet bag for your consideration or vintage suitcase. What about keeping the jacket and tie look and just use the briefcase as mentioned earlier.

OK, if we're done with the bucket bags.... I looked at that link of the Duluth bag and it seems really big if you just need a close up case for cards, cups etc. I was HOPING to keep this to myself for now...especially since it's currently out of stock...but I think this looks beautiful http://www.saddlebackleather.com/travelc......y=301406

That is a nice looking bag but it is quite small (Interior: 9 ½” W x 6” H x 5 ¾” D) Their Gadget Bag is larger but I think the prices for both are a bit prohibitive.

The OMG from Frank was worth the post even though I'm pretty sure you all know I was kidding - my opinion, bringing out tool bags are not elegant nor magical but I will say and wanted to say that the white canvas with tan leather bottom finish is actually a very cool way to go, nice contrast vintage look and the opening is large- highly consider that rather than a black and decker circular saw bag unless your character or not is the rural or the plumber's union magician.

A friend of mine uses a "Men's Toiletry Bag", it works perfect for his close-up shows. Being the top opens and stays open, it is easy to retrieve items. His had a flex open top, but here is an example of what I am describing using a zipper.
