These Classic Monsters are shaking off the dust and are ready to terrorize once again. The first ever deck from Classics Playing Cards presents Classic Monsters. Each card gives a nostalgic look back at the founding fathers of Monsters. Printed by USPCC, these Monsters can't wait to make a come-back in your collection. The court cards are a beautiful collection of the most iconic Monsters in the world. Each card is custom designed and displays both a front facing image as well as a side profile.
The numbered cards are a stoic black and white. The pips were designed to portray emblems from the past. The aces display a hand dramatically grasping onto the pips. Been a fan of the classic monsters ever since I was a kid. Would have picked up this deck in a heartbeat...except for one thing.
There really is a lot to like about this deck, IMHO...but how on EARTH was it decided that King Kong and Godzilla should be Queens?!?! I mean, "KING" Kong... Godzilla, "KING" of the Monsters... LOL! There were plenty of available female creatures/vampires who could have been selected as queens alongside the "Bride" (The Creature from the Black Lagoon was an odd choice for the other, but whatever...). True, its only a deck of cards, but the 2 big fellas rightfully deserved spots as Kings or Aces. Jacks, even. Jokers, at worst! Queens???
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
