The Society of American Magicians hosted their annual national magic convention in Las Vegas, Nevada during January. This was a first time for them hosting the event in the winter. It was a rousing success with over 600 in attendance and several special events such as: the Mac King Roast, all attendees going to the Mat Franco show on the Strip, contestants auditioning for "Penn & Teller Fool Us" TV show, and many more "firsts".
