Nearly 300 magicians flock to the Heart of Texas each Spring to buy and sell their new and uesed magic props, books, ephemera, stage accoutrement, and more. Although it's a "right of Spring" for many in the region, perhaps not everyone knows about the "Austin Magic Auction". It is interesting and important to all magicians because everyone can attend. And even if you can't be there physically, you can see what treasures will be at auction by visiting their website. If something tickles your fancy and you need to have it, then you can place a bid through one of the attendees.

Magicians buy and sell things all year long including through The Magic Café. But this is a unique time when you can physically see and touch the item to see what kind of shape it's in before you bid.

On this week's podcast of The Magic Word, we chat with Trixie Bond, Chairman of the Austin Magic Auction, and the three auctioneers: David Hira, Grant Walsh and myself, Scott Wells. You can hear it all at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwell......-auction

Looks like a great time! Wish I could make the 10 hour drive.
WHAT IF you wake up tomorrow with ONLY the things that you THANK GOD for today?

Some of you might be interested in knowing what some of the items sold for in this year's auction. For a rather detailed review with prices paid, then read a report from Ron Cartlidge at the bottom of the blog at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwell......-auction
